Dr. Sturm is a board-certified orthodontist- which puts her level of training above 90% of all the Orthodontic Specialists in the country. At Silver Smiles, our qualifications are second to none with a track record of not only making our patient’s smiles beautiful but healthier too. These results are beneficial for alleviating problems such as jaw pain, premature teeth wear, and crowding which makes flossing and oral hygiene more difficult resulting in potential tooth and bone loss. These are all benefits that should last a lifetime!
Dr. Meagan Sturm was raised in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Sturm attended Emory University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She went on to dental school at Medical College of Georgia where she found dentistry to be a perfect mix of her love of art and science. After dental school, Dr. Sturm received advanced training in Orthodontics from Medical College of Georgia in 2015. Throughout her career, Dr. Sturm has been involved in many professional orthodontic and dental organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Association of Orthodontists and the Georgia Dental Association.

This is just the beginning of your smile journey, but before we can assess whether or not you need orthodontic care, it’s best to visit your general dentist for a checkup, a cleaning or to have any dental work you need completed before we dive into transforming your smile. Once you’ve taken care of any dental work, you’re ready for your free consultation!
Book Your Free ConsultationLife is busy. We get it. That’s why we’ve made our office hours more convenient. In order for us to make sure that each appointment runs as efficiently as possible, we ask that you arrive at your appointment at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time and provide us with at least 48-hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment.
See available appointmentsMany of our patients wonder how long their treatment will last. While every case is different, patients can expect to be in treatment for 18 to 36 months. Typically, the average orthodontic patient is in treatment for 18 to 24 months. Appointments are typically scheduled in 1 to 3 month intervals. During that time, all you’ll need to do is keep your teeth and appliances as clean as possible, and keeping your scheduled orthodontic check-ins. By taking extra care of your teeth during your treatment, patients may shave off a little time in how long they will need to wear their appliances. And you know what that means – you just might finish treatment ahead of schedule.
